Godby Shipping is a privately owned shipping company established 1973. Our aim is to offer high class tailor made sea transportation for the forest industry and liner operators. We operate a modern and competitive fleet under Finnish and Norwegian flag.

Our office and the vessels are certified by Traficom (the Finnish Maritime Administration) in accordance with the ISM-code issued by IMO.

Godby Shipping's office is located at Södragatan 13 in central Mariehamn. In total, the company employs about 200 persons.

We order two new roros

We are excited to announce that on 11th February 2026 we ordered two Stream Roro 1700 vessels with options for two more at CIMC Raffles in China. The project is important for us to continue to provide our customers with high quality tailor-made transport solutions, renew our fleet and meet both present and future environmental demands.

Time Charter Agreement with Stena Line for mv Mistral

We are pleased to announce the signing of a one-year time charter agreement with Stena Line for our roro-vessel Mistral. The agreement includes an option for Stena Line to prolong the charter beyond the initial period.

Purchase of mv Transporter

We are pleased to announce that today, November 19, we have completed the purchase of the RoRo vessel Transporter from Eckerö Shipping, Mariehamn and Transporter is now officially ours. Transporter, being the sister vessel of mv Aurora suits very well into our fleet.
