Godby Shipping are the proud sponsor of Mercy Ships Race, arranged for the first time Wednesday 8 May 2019 in Mariehamn. The race is the day before the Maritime Day (Thursday 9 May, www.sjofart.ax) and you can run or walk 5 or 10 km in central Mariehamn. The racing fee directly support Mercy Ships and their fantastic work. Mercy Ships operate one hospital ship and another is under construction in China. On board the ship they remove deadly tumours, repair twisted limbs and club feet’s, restore sights to the blind or in short they give new life to the world’s forgotten and poor.
