Godby Shipping is a privately owned shipping company established 1973. Our aim is to offer high class tailor made sea transportation for the forest industry and liner operators. We operate a modern and competitive fleet under Finnish and Norwegian flag.

Our office and the vessels are certified by Traficom (the Finnish Maritime Administration) in accordance with the ISM-code issued by IMO.

Godby Shipping's office is located at Södragatan 13 in central Mariehamn. In total, the company employs about 200 persons.

Mv Misana delivered to Sea-Cargo Skips AS

On 6 June 2025 at 0915 hrs (CET) mv Misana was delivered to Sea-Cargo Skips AS, Bergen, Norway. They will change name to mv Trans Sol. Mv Trans Sol will first continue the same trade and thereafter same rebuilding as is ongoing on mv Trans Hav will be made.

Mv Misida delivered to Sea-Cargo Skips AS

On 31 March 2025 at 1015 hrs (CET) mv Misida was delivered to Sea-Cargo Skips AS, Bergen, Norway. They will change name to mv Trans Hav. The vessel now at Klaipeda Shipyard for extensive rebuilding, see their press release.

Purchase of Aurora and chartering update

Aurora delivery. Aurora sailed from Chile 17th December and is now on her way to Algeciras, Spain where we will take delivery of the vessel. The purchase of Aurora is an important part in keeping our crews employed after the delivery of Misana and Misida to Sea-Cargo.
